I spent more time on the filter than I did the actual shave. Anyways the shave was excellent. This was my first artisan soap so it makes me a little nostalgic (if I can be nostalgic for a hobby I started ten months ago).

Razor: Muhle R89 Rose Gold
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
Soap: Bluebell Artisan Barbershop
Aftershave Balm: Stirling Soaps Barbershop
Brush: Maggard Synthetic

First time use of this soap, and I must say I love the scent. I would suggest to any wet shaver that is not fond of Barbershop to at least give this one a try. I went to a meetup of Utah wet shavers a few weeks ago and knew this would be the next soap in my arsenal. They are locally made soap from Bluebell, UT , but I assure you I do not know the artisans behind it, and nothing to profit from. As a matter of fact I didn't know there was a little place called Bluebell until now.

This solid brass gold beauty made in the Netherlands by all means is no lightweight (pun intended).

This shave was a prep to taking my car into the autobody shop first thing this morning with about four hours sleep and sporting a rental car for the next week-one sweet ass Cadillac none the less.

Razor Review: Fine Accountrements Superlite Slant

I was pretty stoked about receiving this a few weeks ago. This was the first slant I tried, and I fell in love with the design, and what appeared to be a satin finish. Made of polymer, it the razor is very light, and has no heft. For me, that is not a problem. I tend to gravitate towards lighter aluminum razors anyway. I put in a Feather blade and went to town on my morning routine. I must say this was one mean, efficient shaver. I would put this razor against any of my more expensive high end razors. Now the only drawbacks are is it does feel "cheap" if you will since it is made of polymer. At the end of the day is that a big deal? No, it still does the job.

I was disappointed that after a few uses the finish started to chip. Once again, is it that a big deal either? No, once again it still does the job. This really opened my door to slant razors, and I would like to see the fine people at Fine Accountrements use this same design and maybe produce a anodized aluminum version of this razor.
