Shave of the Day: Sunday April 14, 2019 and Monday April 15, 2019
Razor: Karve C Plate
Blade: Astra Blue (1st and 2nd use)
Brush: Turn-N-Shave “Serpent”
Cream: Taylor of Old Bond Street No. 50
Aftershave Balm: THe Art of Shaving Unscented
Much like TOBS’ Platinum cream No. 50 seems to be a different and better formulation. Very impressed with the Astra (stainless) blue blades, which do seem to be smoother than the green (platinum) blades, of at least from what I can recall.

Shave of the Day: Thursday April 11, 2019
Razor: Rod George Catacomb
Blade: Personna Blue (2nd use)
Brush: Turn-N-Shave “Wicked”
Soap: The Holy Black Gunpowder and Spice
Aftershave: The Holy Black Gunpowder and Spice
Just knocked out two days growth and this is probably my favorite artisan take on spice yet. Somewhat powdery and not overpowering. The tonic has a good degree of kick to it as well. Really enjoyable.

Razor: 1959 Gillette $1.95 “Fat Boy”

Shave of the Day: Thursday April 4, 2019
Blade: Ladas (3rd use)
Brush: Saw Dust Creation “Caramel Latte”
Soap: Ariana & Evans Barbiere Sofisticato
Aftershave: Ariana & Evans Barbiere Sofisticato
For the past couple years I have gravitated towards Polsilvers, Personnas and Perma-Sharps so I have made it a point to go back and re-evaluate some blades I haven’t used in a while. I would rank Ladas above average in sharpness, smoothness and comfort-although not the best definitely adequate.
This razor and soap base need no further explanation since you’ve heard me rave about it in the past.
